Chiwaukum Mt's / Scottish Lakes - 3/27-28/07

The Stevens Pass Patrol made a trip up to Scottish Lakes and the Chiwaukums as reward for completing our trainings. After getting a snowmobile ride in, enjoying a happy hour and waiting for the second wave of patrolers to show up, we made our way up Wild Bill Hill and continued up and over McCue Ridge to ski into the Chiwaukum Creek drainage. We make a few laps, checked out a few slopes and enjoyed good early season corn skiing. After returning to Scottish Lakes High Camp, Adrienne and I made dinner for the crew before slipping into the wood fired hot tub and sauna for a quick soak. The next morning we all packed up and divided into two groups, a group headed into the alpine of the Chiwaukum Range and a group heading out to the cars via Coulter Creek.
